BBC1 Pilot with Gordon Ramsay:
Looking For Diners!
Studio Ramsay is making a new, non-broadcast pilot for BBC1 and will be filming at the luxurious Savoy Grill on Friday 2nd August so we are looking for people to come along to enjoy a delicious and original breakfast.
About The Event
Gordon Ramsay is looking for the future superstar entrepreneur with the next food or drink idea and this competition will pit budding food and drink entrepreneurs against each other in a series of challenges to test their business acumen, personality and food expertise. We have found some great contributors with amazing ideas and will be putting them through their paces.
One of the challenges requires the contributors to put on their business hats for the Fine Dining world. As you may know, The Savoy is an extremely prestigious hotel and restaurant, so we are very lucky to film there but there is a certain standard our contributors must uphold.
In three teams of two, our competitors have to devise breakfast dishes, buy the ingredients, cook and serve real diners. The Savoy Chefs and staff will be on duty, assisting our contributors and Gordon Ramsay and Michelin starred chef, Clare Smyth will be judging their work – so it is set to be an exciting morning!
We’re looking for 60 people to come and help Gordon make this decision. Though this pilot will not be broadcasted on television, we will be filming the entire breakfast and there is a possibility we will interview some diners.
We are able to offer each diner £25 towards their meal, however, due to the nature of the challenge we are unable to let diners know what the meals are and how much they cost as these decisions will be made by contributors in the moment but we can’t imagine your bill will be much more than £25, unless you opt for a few breakfast mimosas. This also means there will be limited food choices and so we will be unable to cater for vegetarians, vegans or other specialist dietary requirements.
The Savoy hotel will be open as usual during filming and they maintain a strict dress code 24/7, so it’s time to put on your glad rags – as jeans, t-shirts and trainers will not be permitted.
